Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs refunds and cancellations for donations made through the DonationPe platform (“DonationPe”, “Platform”), operated by Webenor Technologies Private Limited, India.

By making a donation through DonationPe, you agree to the terms of this Policy.

1. Nature of Donations

1.1 All payments made on DonationPe are voluntary donations.

1.2 Donations made through DonationPe are not purchases of goods or services.

1.3 Once a donation is successfully completed, it cannot be cancelled by default.

2. Role of DonationPe

2.1 DonationPe acts solely as a technology platform that facilitates donation transactions on behalf of registered organizations (“Organizations”).

2.2 DonationPe:

  • Does not receive or hold donation funds
  • Does not process refunds
  • Does not decide refund eligibility

2.3 All donations are processed directly through the Organization’s own payment gateway account.

3. Refund Responsibility

3.1 Refunds, if any, are entirely at the discretion of the Organization to which the donation is made.

3.2 Organizations may choose to issue refunds:

  • In cases of duplicate transactions
  • In cases of technical errors
  • As per their internal policies or applicable laws

3.3 DonationPe has no obligation to ensure that a refund is granted.

4. Refund Process

4.1 Donors must contact the respective Organization directly for any refund request.

4.2 Refunds, if approved by the Organization:

  • Are processed manually by the Organization
  • Are issued through the Organization’s payment gateway account

4.3 DonationPe is not involved in:

  • Refund approvals
  • Refund processing timelines
  • Communication regarding refund decisions

5. Non-Refundable Circumstances

Donations will generally not be refunded in the following cases:

  • Change of mind by the donor
  • Dissatisfaction with the Organization’s activities
  • Disagreement with fund utilization
  • Delay in receipt generation (unless caused by technical failure)

6. Technical Failures

6.1 In the event of a technical failure resulting in:

  • Amount debited but transaction failed
  • Duplicate debit

The donor should first verify the transaction status with their bank or payment gateway.

6.2 If a confirmed error exists:

  • The Organization may initiate a refund through its payment gateway
  • DonationPe may assist with transaction verification without assuming liability

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

7.1 Any chargeback or payment dispute raised by a donor:

  • Will be handled by the Organization and its payment gateway
  • May result in penalties or reversals as per payment gateway rules

7.2 DonationPe shall not be liable for:

  • Chargeback decisions
  • Associated fees or penalties
  • Account actions taken by payment gateways

8. Processing Time

8.1 If a refund is approved by an Organization:

  • Processing time depends on the Organization and its payment gateway
  • Typical timelines may range from 5–10 working days

8.2 DonationPe does not guarantee refund timelines.

9. Legal Compliance

9.1 This Policy is framed in accordance with applicable Indian laws.

9.2 Nothing in this Policy limits statutory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law:

  • DonationPe shall not be liable for refund denials
  • DonationPe shall not be liable for delays or failures in refund processing
  • DonationPe shall not be liable for disputes between donors and Organizations

11. Changes to This Policy

DonationPe reserves the right to update this Policy at any time.

Changes will be effective upon posting on this page.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
